I bought three ear buds, these, the Jbuds one step lower, and a copy cat brand. They were only , , and . Amazon had free shipping on the buds, so the was the same price as the . The brand sounded the same as the lower end jbuds, but these sound much better.
Any case, the sound on these is really full of bass. Treble is distinct. Mid Range is decent. It really feels like the sound is coming from the room rather than the plugs (good thing). They are about twice as loud at the same volume than the Jbuds cheaper, well worth the extra .
I wish these would fit like my Shures. The sound is better I think in the buds, but they don't isolate the outside noise really at all. I tried all three ear sizes. When I use my Shures, they are like ear protection. If I put another earphone set over top of these jbuds, you can really hear the sound quality. They are comfortable, hardly notice them. Maybe over time the ear pieces will harden and fit better.
The cord on this thing is slightly thicker than the other cheaper ear buds, with plastic parts holding where the wires come together. I don't expect the cord to fail. The one thing you really notice about these buds is the bass.
