Griffin Elan Form Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black/Blue) Review
This is an attractive case and seems durable. The blue trim takes the gloom off of an all black case and the leather pattern on the back is attractive without being too obviously (I personally wouldn't have liked the leather square print too be too pronounced). The case fits very tightly to the iPod but it fits very well - it slides on pretty easily with a little pushing. The leather makes the case soft to hold while the plastic base material makes the case appear durable (I haven't dropped it hard or anything so there's not real life scenario to check this out).
All the ports are easily accessible with the case on and the holes are so well fitted to the iPod that dust does not seem to slip inside even through the openings that are there. I like how the openings are the perfect size - just slightly larger than the button so it's easy to push the button but not so large that I'd be scared of the iPod scratching at those spots.
After trying very hard, I managed to get the bottom off. After the first time, the bottom came off easily but it's tight enough not to fall off during regular use.
This case is basically the same as the Wave, Nu form, and Graphite cases by Griffin. Each has the same concept but are made with different materials - so choose based on preference for look and feel. I think protection would be similar enough.
Haven't tried wifi yet. I'll update this review if any problems with connecting to the internet while using the case occurs.
