Mophie Juice Pack Air Case and Rechargeable Battery for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Red) Review

I've been waiting for Mophie to add this product to their lineup for a while now. They already had a battery, but it was not a protective case like the one for the iphone. But now that it's here, I'm both in love and yet disappointed.

Pros:
--battery lasts satisfactorily long to me (I have not tested it thoroughly though)
--a switch at the bottom to easily choose if you want to use the case battery or internal iPod battery at any given time.
--MOSTLY a well-constructed case--hard plastic, rubberized outside, a top and bottom piece instead of a back and front piece which hold the ipod secure without coming off, does not add a lot of bulk.
--I like the color also because even though it is technically blue, it is like a cobalt blue or true blue that is close to purple and sufficiently feminine enough for my taste.
--only need the one cable that comes with the case. so you don't have to charge the ipod separately and you can still sync it while it is in the case.

Cons:
--much of the battery size is directly under the home button...it just feels a little awkward to get used to because the ipod is longer rather than fatter.
--the internal ipod speakers don't work when the case is on. The ipod thinks that there is a pair of headphones plugged into them and it turns the speakers off.
--there is no bezel on the case at all! the top of the case is flush to the glass surface of the ipod. it kind of makes me nervous, because I'm a clumsy person. I know that if I drop this, the glass WILL touch the floor and probably will break. If it had a bezel, then the floor would touch the bezel and the glass would sit above the floor...

I tried to think of Pros and Cons that other people might need to hear about this case before making a decision. but for me, the bezel on the case is a major flaw in the design. You want a case so that it can protect your ipod, but the Mophie people are clearly thinking more about the battery aspect. I really like this product for a lot of reasons, and I want to keep using it...but it makes me nervous. I shouldn't have to put little silicone feet on it to make up for that!
