I had a similar case for my old iPod model, and when I upgraded to the touch I wanted the same level of protection. A hard cover for the screen is essential since I keep the iPod in my purse. This case is easy to use and convenient. I tried to use the film as well, but it was too difficult, and in my opinion superfluous. The case provides more than adequate protection without it.
